Aaron Siskind
This is one of the Latin American pictures. The colours in the photo are black and white which is effective. I think the colours work well together. The surface of the work looks quite textured and there is an interesting composition. I chose to look at Aaron Siskinds work because it is of graffiti images made in the 1950s so I wanted to explore his work more. I personally think that this photo is simple but complex at the same time. The materials that has been used is graffiti in Latin America. I think this piece of work is abstract.
The colour of this photo is black and white because it was around the 1950s when it was taken. The subject matter of this photograph is the person diving. The shutter speed would be on something like 1/500s so that the image is frozen but it can capture the image of the person falling. the ISO would be on something around 100 ISO or 400 ISO because the image looks quite crisp with out any grains, or any specks. Its hard to tell because of the use of black and white but it looks like it would have been bright because the image is clear. The title of it is 'The Divers' the relevance's this has is that everyone is free and the message comes across because the man is falling freely. This photograph is simple just by having one thing going on in the photo which is the man and there is nothing going on in the background. It uses rule of third and the middle section has the most in it.
